If you have moved somebody carefully before, whether in healthcare, caregiving or transport, the rest of this is teachable. We would rather hear from you than not.
What the day actually looks like.
Scheduled trips, mostly the same riders week to week. Dialysis, infusion, therapy, specialist appointments. You go to the door, help somebody out of their house, secure them properly, drive them, and walk them in at the other end.
The driving is the straightforward part. The job is patience, steadiness, and treating somebody's parent the way you would want yours treated.
What we look for
Experience helps. Temperament matters more.
- A valid Washington driver license and a clean driving record
- Comfort working with seniors and people with disabilities
- Willingness to be trained in securement and patient handling
- Reliability, because a missed pickup is a missed appointment
- Ability to pass a background check
- Prior NEMT, caregiving, EMS or healthcare experience is a plus, not a requirement
We train the equipment. We cannot train somebody to care whether an eighty year old gets inside safely.

A small operation, which cuts both ways.
You will not be a number on a dispatch board. You will know your riders, and after a few weeks they will know you. Most of our work is standing weekly schedules, so the day is predictable and the routes stop being a surprise.
It also means we are small. If that is not what you are after, better to know now than in month three.
